We had a wonderful stay in Guangdong guest house! Mr Simon, the owner of this guest house was superb, he even let us leave our luggages in his room after our check out. We respect his warm hospitality towards each guests here :) However, the elevator is a problem. It is always overloaded with people from above floors. f you want to stay in Hong Kong close to everything feel secured and get a great experience from staying in meka of backpackers - Guangdong Guest House is the place to be! Rooms are quite small, but this is very usual for Hong Kong. Rooms have all you need, including towels, shower facilities (shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste, etc), hairdryer, TV, DVD with selection of movies from Simon's collection. Chungking Mansions, where it's located, is not the nicest place in Hong Kong at all, but the hostel is a good clean place with good service. Getting up to the hostel means you have to go through a crowded dirty rundown place with people trying to sell you knock-off products...but then it's over! Ahhh. The owner, Simon, is very friendly and helpful, he can help orient you in the city if it's your first time. After staying in this place for over a week (and we'll be here longer) I would recommend James, from USA ~ 24th Aug 2011
