The staff was very friendly and gave me a better bedroom than what I originally payed for. Free breakfast & coffee every morning, and large dining areas to meet new people. Great location, only 5 minutes from the train station and everything is within walking distance. Only drawback was that the beds were uncomfortable, but the place is overall very nice & clean. The location is great, very close to everything. I didn't have the breakfast, it was a bit very basic. The 2 pain points for me were the lack of lockers in the rooms (they have a few small ones in the reception) and no WIFI. 2011 nd no free WIFI in the UK!! amazing. The hostel is settled in a charming and well located building. The lift is pretty small and works poorly - use the stairs. The office hour is up to 11pm what complicates a little bit if you need assistance. The vendor machine wasn't working at the time we were there. Free internet wasn't available. Too bad. Liverpool was wonderful, but Hatters was so-so. Lots of crazy people running around shouting in the halls. But the staff was helpful, if not polite, and the breakfast was nice. Kinda suckie that the internet costs though. Jonas, from Norway ~ 16th Mar 2011
