It was very clean, lots of facilities (such as free bread all day, although bring your own jam), friendly staff and fantastic location in the Northern Quarter. Wasn't very lively though (was in 6 bed dorm Fri and Sat night and only 2 people in there both nights including me) and is quite expensive for a hostel. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the hostel and the facilities available.The location is great and definitely a biggest selling point. The only issues I would raise are the fact that in room 108 the central heating didn't work and the noise from the street below made it feel like there was a party in the room!We were given two blow heaters for the room which worked well. The cheapest hostel I could find in Manchester but the most expensive one among ALL hostels I have ever taken in my life! However was very good: facilities, staff, beds, location. We had a private room at a perfect part of the hostel. Very nice large room with private bathroom (with bath!!!). Very nice and helpful staff. Perfect location in a very nice part of Manchester (Northern Quarter). All in all a perfect choice. Vincent, from Netherlands ~ 30th Nov 2011
