Lounge is really great, and breakfast rich! The up stairs are more similar to a cheap hotel instead, not really an hostel atmosphere but they are okay we stayed in a double and that was okay. When I booked this hostel I had no idea what to expect. The word is that sometimes online reviews are done by insiders and are not accurate at all. We were so pleasantly surprised and although we only stayed one night in Berlin, we would definately use this Hostel again. It was super and very clean. space related decorations everywhere, clean, pool table, fussball table, washing machines, GREAT music, comfy couches... sadly the staff being polite and efficient but not too friendly and a lack of light keeps the place from being really cosy. huge rooms with huge windows and huge bathrooms, very clean the value for money is incredible: you pay 8 euros a night, and you get breakfast included, and it's a real breakfast : bread, butter, jam, salami, cheese, cereal, yoghourt, all you can eat! Room and bathroom were typical/average.What makes this hostel a gym is the common areas.The staff is very helpful if you need information, and the lounge/bar is a really comfortable safe place to hang out even in the middle of the night.Nice that you can get tea, coffee, or other drinks even at 3am.Also reasonable walking distance to several good attractions and the Ubahn.I would definitely return to this hostel. If you stay for over 3 days breakfast is for free (instead of 4 euros). Anyway, the coffee was awful, the rest was very good. There is no cleaning in bedrooms everyday, just take out the trash. You need to ask for towels, they are for free. The ensuite room has just the shower and a sink but no WC, so you need to share. People working are very nice, but the people talking loud all the time on floors are anoying, girls with high heals walking around late at night everyday. Guillermo, from Italy ~ 2nd Dec 2011
