the hostes is central at a side street, so there is no noise from the street. we had a one night stay in jan 2012 in a double with shared bathroom which was OK, but a friendly couple had a double with private bathroom just behind the door on the upper floor which is very noisy due to the proximity of the door to their room and people standing outside of the room smoking. It's cold all the time inside the hostel. Hot water lasted only 5 min every time. Excellent location though, very close to the Bellavista district for nightlife Read Owner Comments chian, from Malaysia ~ 25th Sep 2011

We've stayed here before, it's great for a weekend in the city. Close to all the fun in Bellavista & Bellas artes area, walking distance to Santa Lucia and downtown shops. Great value.However, I must say our private bathroom was gross. It had fuzzy mold growing on the tile. Last time everything was spotless not sure if the staff is slacking these days or what, but considering how slow it was this past weekend, there's no excuse for actual mold growing.
