Was great location for our late night flight. Staff were friendly and helpful in organising an airport pick up and a shuttle to Antigua. They did put an additional ´tax´ on of four dollars for no specific reason though. Very cheeky!

On the website of Hostel world clearly indicates that the rate "does not include taxes. In Guatemala, the tax is 22% (12% IVA + 10% INGUAT). Serena Craker spent a night in a shared room, 2 people, must pay $ 36.00 + Tax (22%) (U.S. $ 7.92 = U.S. $ 8.00). Total U.S. $ 44.00. She must pay $ 4.00 tax on each one. Everything is legal. I regret very much that Serena did not understand the bill presented to him. Thanks

Marisolyl was amazing! She made some calls and booked a last-minute shuttle to Antigua for me, cooked a delicious breakfast, and offered a free ride to the airport. VERY quiet (except for the airplanes flying overhead), very clean and homey! Highly recommended! Christine, from USA ~ 15th Apr 2009
