Hostal Residencial Victor in Lima, Peru

Excellent for a night´s stay before an early flight. Wouldn´t recommend the area for a longer stay. There is a ton of construction happening on the roads between there and the city center, but I was glad to encounter the traffic on the way to the hostel instead of on the way to the airport. The hostal is ideal if you have an early morning flight from Lima airport. The pickup service is great too, but we had to pay $10 each way. Hotel owner spoke perfect English and was very helpful. Location is the biggest downside, being in a rough area. Matthew, from England ~ 27th Jun 2009

Is not in a good location and not close by the airport. Hostal clean however.

As a previous client said, the location is perfect if you have to stay close to the airport, and we are close, the other place closer to the airport would be the Ramada Hotel. Also, from here is easy to go to Lima downton and Miraflores too. Hostal Victor

The hotel serves those who need a stopover in Lima as it is inexpensive, has a great driver at a very fair price, is basic but clean, and has an accommodating and kind staff. It is very far from downtown. Internet free in the lobby. The surrounding neighborhood has some character -- I wouldn't say it is scary or dangerous. It worked well for us for 24 hours. I never stayed there, I sent 5 emails without receiving a reply or confirmation so I booked another hotel. In their favor, they were at the airport to pick me up!

I am sorry Mr. Susie but YOU CAN'T rate our place if you didn't stay here, as we told you on the phone (once our driver call from the airport saying that you were not going to stay the night) We answered both of your e-mails, if you didn't receive our e-mails maybe you need to check your spam folder in the future because the mail could go there, we receive every day mails that go to the spam folder and we put them in the right folder, the inbox folder. We had your room ready waiting for you, our driver waited for you for more than One hour at the airport, we had to turn down other guest, a very nice American lady, that needed a single room, so please you or the people of Hostelworld We would appreciate very much that this comment, wrong comment will be taken out. There is no rating of our place beacuse you didn't stay the night, other hotels charge for the night when you don't stay or make cancellations at the very last minute, we charged you Zero.
