Overall, I could not find one thing bad about this hostel.Staff is extremely friendly and courteous.They can book tours for you also, which is nice.They serve a full breakfast for only 3 euro, and they are located only about a mile from the colosseum.If you want your Rome experience to be a good one, stay here.They will treat you right MATTHEW, from USA ~ 26th May 2012

The free pasta night was night, but the pasta runs out fast! So get there right away. I've stayed in nicer hostels I guess, but it was good overall and I would recommend it. Julia, from USA ~ 12th May 2012

The hostel was ok but there is no kitchen for guests, and the internet password changes each 3 hours (so you should move from your floor to the reception in order to ask for a new one). Hostels in Rome are expensive and Alessandro downtown is in the average, so my rate for the relation price-value is about the city in general. After some days i met friends i was waiting for and moved to a temporary apt. We payed the same rate than in the hostel for more space and better facilities. Room 102 was SO loud.It is in the front of the building so you can hear all the noise from the smokers, cars, garbage trucks, etc.Also, the door doesn't shut quietly from the outside, only with a hard slam. Wi-fi in dorms but really annoying because you have to re-log-in after 30 mins or so. Staff is really nice.Water temperature/pressure always good. Very close to Termini, close enough to Colosseum. Take the shuttle buses for sure, only 4EUR instead of the train for ~18. Jolee, from USA ~ 4th May 2012

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed at.Amazing location, staff was very helpful and friendly, and they provide everything that people coming to visit Rome need such as maps, different tours, good places to eat and great gelatto places.They even have daily events that allow you to meet other people who are staying.I would definitely recommend. Staff was very helpful and informative, the rooms were very clean and the hostel, though in a questionable area, was very safe. Only thing I had a problem with was that there are no lockers in the luggage room for bigger luggage, but it didnt matter much. John, from USA ~ 24th Apr 2012
