Great location near shops and good food, however that is the only good thing about it. The rooms were ok but uncleaned and the bathrooms were average and a bit on the dirty side. We didn't have a key so the door was always left unlocked, and public could have access to it. It was also difficult that the manager could not speak english. Isabel, from Australia ~ 7th Jan 2012

This hostel has the perfect location to enjoy Montreal, but it was rather noisy and not very clean. One of the two mattresses in the room was sagging and there were food bits on it. I would not go back. Valérie, from Canada ~ 4th Oct 2011

The owner/staff was nice. The location is good, not quite in downtown but in the middle of busy area where you can find restaurants, shops, transportions easily. The bad things are 1) No key is provided for the room (that means anyone could access to your room). 2) The cleanliness is poor. 3) No air conditioner which it was extremely hot while we stayed in the middle of August. 4) It locates just besides the main road so it\\\'s quite noisy due to the traffic. The hostel was ok. The floor with the private room recently silent and the bathroom was clean enough. There were no pillow cases and the blankets could be washed. Pierre (not sure anyone else works there) could pay more attention and was sometimes hard to catch, even during his official hours. The worst hostel that I have ever been in. Awful experience. As expensive as a Montreal Hotel during the weekends. Rather be on a park bench. Yes - the location is cool, but it's a complete waste of time and effort. It should be $10 at the most per night. Anything more and you are getting ripped so hard. iLan, from USA ~ 14th Aug 2011
