Hostel La Casa de la Luna in Other Uruguay, Uruguay

This is not in La Pedrera but in Punta Rubia. About a 2.5 kilometer walk down highway to the town. Beach may be 500 meters, but you have to follow trail and go down gully with rope. House is in middle of field with tall grass. Many mosquitoes, no mosquitoe net, no fans in room, doors and windows would not close tighly so could not keep mosquitoes out if you did not mind hot. Owner did offer to drive us to town, but we would have to schedule a pickup or walk back. Owner said also don't try to c Baxter, from USA ~ 2nd Apr 2009
