money-oriented hostel, even a locker has to be rented. tiny room, no common fridge nor allowed to eat your food on existing tables as there is a restaurant. 2 out of 8 computers working and no chairs not to surf tool long. security and locarion are good though. definitively not a backpacker spirit. They take security extremely serious, and its a good thing being in downtown San Jose.Very large for a hostel though, so it takes away from some of the character, but a great jumping off point to explore Costa Rica Andrew, from USA ~ 16th Jan 2012

The facilities are ridiculously good. Everything you can imagine...and more! The prices inside the hostel are a bit steep, but Costa Rica in general is not as cheap anymore, so this is in line with that. I don't know if it's a safe location but the hostel is definitely secure and close to the city center. Maybe not the best place to meet other travelers, but of course that also depends on the crowd you find in the hostel when you are there... Andre, from Germany ~ 6th Jan 2012

The shuttle between the hostel and airport was very good, and a good price if you have at least 2 people. Plus the driver was VERY friendly! The hostel is good for socializing, but not so great for quiet time...overall a good place. Autumn, from USA ~ 6th Jan 2012

Rooms were the smallest i have ever seen for a two person room. I needed to pay to call another hostel to see if i could travel onward. rooms were very noisy and the party didnt even get started, only loud music was playing. there are no seats in front of the computer and i wasnt allowed to put my memory stick in... besides this the hostel was good, avarage showers, good view, nice bar. Overall way to commercial to be called a hostel in my opinion Wietse, from Netherlands ~ 13th Dec 2011

The staff here is very helpful and nice. The rooms are a bit small, at least the private room we had. Food in the restaurant is delicious and the burger is fantastic! Nothing special to put my finger on, a really good hostel! Anne, from Norway ~ 15th Nov 2011
