This was a really active hostel with all sorts of attractions for partiers. There was some kind of club, maybe upstairs or nearby that played really loud music all night long. Vibrating the bed-loud. This hostel is terrific!! It has a very good location and the people is excellent, specially Coco who always help us! They have ladies night every night in the pool area and after we go all together to the bests clubs of Playa. Well I thought this was an awesome hostel with lots going on and plenty of facilities. I did not like Playa though so I recommend you go elsewhere i.e. tulum or isla de mujeres. matthew, from England ~ 27th Jul 2011

excellent location and staff. I had a single room with air conditioning. Remember this is a youth hostel not a 5 star hotel. The pool is a children's pool and with a ton of people in it I would prefer to stay out of it filippo, from USA ~ 16th Jun 2011

From the moment we entered Hostel Rio Playa, I could sense that this place was unlike any I had ever experienced before. From the bar to the pool and the people everything about this place seemed to welcome us with open arms. Rio, Emilio, Marcelo, "Pablolito," Miguel, and Adrien all made sure that we had a great time by serving $1 beers at the hostel bar and taking us to places like Mandalas and Coco Bongo.
