Hotel Hortus is the perfect place to stay in Amsterdam. It is located on a beautiful street right next to a very pretty park. The Amsterdam Botanical Gardens are also right out the front door. The staff is amazing, and one of the people working there was nice enough to give us his top 5 coffee shops (all of which were amazing). The hotel is also a 10-15 minute walk from the largest bell tower in the city which serves as a great landmark. The rooms are a little sparse but they have all you ne Alex, from USA ~ 18th Oct 2009

The american guy that worked there was very helpful and friendly. The room was small but adequate and the bathrooms were not far and very spacious and clean. The location was an easy walk into the main parts of town and we were on a quiet street. I enjoyed my stay. Adam, from Australia ~ 26th Dec 2008
