Hotel Louvre Richelieu in Paris, France

This hostel is 3 blocks from the Louvre Museum, but, there are a lot of stairs to go up with your things. The staff was very nice and helpfull. The guy that received us, even spoke portuguese. But the room was bad. Linen was bad smelling and the toilletes was smaller than the one of an airplane. Did\'nt use the shower. Would not stay there again. Cibelle Morais, from Brazil ~ 2nd Aug 2009

The location is amazing... a few blocks from de Louvre Mussuem. The staff was great all of them. The price amazing, i asked in some other hotels near and the lowest one asked me 5 times the price i was paying here... The mos amazing thing was that i paid for a shared bathroom room but there were others private rooms available after i cheked in, so they gave me one of them without extra pay!!... all hotels shoud do that!!. Todo estuvo bien, muy cerca a todo, pero no habia ventilador ni aire acondicinado y habia mucho calor, y lo raro fue que la ducha compartida no tenia seguro, cualquiera podia entrar si queria. No hablaban espanol.

Not all the membres of the team do speak spanish, but half of them do....

Nice place if you don't have much time (ie, you arrive during the evening and you have to catch your plane the next day...). The room I had was small but kind of clean. I didn't like the shared showers and bathrooms : they were as large as a small closet... Julie, from Canada ~ 3rd Jul 2009

Better than expected. Clean, friendly staff, internet (but not in the last floor). At a walking distance from many Paris attractions. Narrow stairs though, and difficult to carry the luggage up. I enjoyed my stay here. It is a very clean hotel. Situated in a nice area,close to the Louvre. Pyramides is the nearest Metro. No TV in the room - but I can live without that. Breakfast was ok.I would stay here again. William, from England ~ 23rd Apr 2009

It was a scam. They were nicely scamming me. Got there, and they said they were over booked and couldnt keep us, but they sent us to another hotel down the street. The other hotel was cheaper and nicer. But when I called the Richelieu, they said there was no way I was getting my booking fee back from them, because the hotel the sent me to was cheaper. Its was all a coordinated scam between the hotels. Dont fall for the trap. Dont book hostels or hotels from the USA. There are soooo many hotels a Mark, from USA ~ 23rd Apr 2009
