Busy weekend in Venice meant few hotel rooms available at reasonable prices. Martello was a pleasant surprise. Bus and train were very convenient and accessible from the hotel. Staff was very helpful and explicit with all information required. Free wireless was excellent and room was basic but has everything you need. I would only recommend that you reserve breakfast at the hotel as there are few places to eat nearby and avoid train station area late at night.. a bit seedy. Taxi was also pricey. Great place to stay. Not in the city centre but it's inly a 10mintue bus ride which cost 2 euro and operates every 5-10 mins. Very close to Venice Mestre railway station. Staff were very helpful and happy to chat if you wanted to! Joshua, from Australia ~ 20th Jul 2011

Is an excellent place for sleeping. Only 30 minutes bus drive from island. Staffs are all friendly. Bathroom is very clean. Worth it. Though the additional bed is foldable and not that confortable but still good. You only sleep in it so not a big deal. Kaijun, from China ~ 6th Apr 2011
