We stayed there for 4 days- it was an amazing holiday trip.The location of the Island-Hostel is just great.It's on the Magret Island which is between Buda& Pest and a 10 Minute Walks into the city.You won't miss the nightlife because it's around you :). The dorms inside are clean and you can use the kitchen,sit on the terrace and enjoy the beautiful view of the Danube. Victor, the hostel manager is a really nice guy,helpful and funny.We met awesome people there, we would come again! Verena, from Austria ~ 15th Jun 2011

The location is beautifully, but a long walk from everything worth seeing. The manager could do with some more people skills. However, there is plenty of common space and the kitchen is well equipped. tim, from Netherlands ~ 31st Jul 2011

Island Hostel är ett fantastiskt ställe att bo på när du är i Budapest. Bor man på ön har man mycket lätt att komma till båda sidorna av floden: Det är en kort promenad till bron där man tar spårvagnen till endera Buda eller Pest... om man inte vill fortsätta gå. Allt är nära. På ön finns massor att göra om man vill stanna. Missa inte Palatinosbadet som ligger ett par minuters gångväg från stället. In a beautiful and relaxing setting at the very heart of Budapest - the Danube - this hostel is everything a hostel should be. A friendly atmosphere, clean-enough facilities and an obliging and engaged staff makes the few euros spent for the stay well worth while a couple of times over.
