Kayun is a diamond in the rough. Not only was Allwin (spelling? the receptionist) amazing, she was very kind and understanding. For my trip, I rented a private room and was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and security. It has its own AC unit and a safe. The only thing I didn't care too much for was the hot water issue. Though it is clearly stated that hot water is a precious commodity, I still wished it wasn't an issue at all. Overall-IT IS AMAZING!! I'll stay there again when I go ba henry, from USA ~ 31st May 2012

Its located on the noisy main street in to Kuta, probably a little quieter in the girls and private dorms. Other then the noise from the street the door entry makes a stupid beeping noise every time someone comes through. The place was very clean and the breakfast good. A very clean, well-kept hostel, with every amenity you could ask for.HOWEVER - THIS IS NOT BALI!! A great place to stay for one or two nights if you're just arriving, BUT get out and explore what Bali really has to offer!For the price of one night here, you can stay for 2-3 nights elsewhere in a traditional Balinese home. i enjoyed my stay in this Hostel.a place to meet new people with superb service.they have a good wifi connection which is really important for me plus a free coffee everyday aside from their breakfast which is also free for all guest.i will recommend this to my friends. Very new hostel...it so new that you can smell like paint and concrete yet. Even rooms are very small, they have all you need but in few square meters. Sheets are marvelous and then provide towels if you do not book dorm bed. Very good value for money and practically brand new. I stayed a few nights in the mixed dorm and a few nights in a private room. Both were exceptionally clean, free internet, a pool and it's right next to Legian Street so you are right near all the shopping and a short walk to the nightlife and beach. Only downsides in this place are that the staff don't speak very good english (minor issue) and if you stay in the mixed dorm it is very close to the road. private was great though.wont dissappoi Kaleigh, from Australia ~ 5th Jan 2012
