La Iguana Perdida in Guatemala, Guatemala

I was there for 8 nights, and although there were many other options for accomodations on the lake, I felt no reason to stay anywhere else! The hostel was large and beautiful, with gardens along all the paths. In all my time at Lago de Atitlan, I always had the most fun when I was at the hostel. I got my SCUBA certification (cheap!), did yoga, got amazing massages, learned how to backstrap loom with a Mayan chica, played 'Apples to Apples', hiked up to a waterfall, sweated in a traditional Sauna Tess, from Canada ~ 17th Jul 2009

Was a really nice place, but for a younger/party crowd. Also, please note that the cheapest dorm is an outside dorm, and you will get eaten by bugs. Jessica, from Canada ~ 13th Apr 2009
