The staff make this hostel AMAZING. Location is the perfect first or last stop due to it's proximity to the airport. Roooms are clean and comfortable, home cooked dinners available are low cost and wonderful. Le Bamboo was a fantastic guesthouse not far from the Mahebourg market and a bus trip (or 5 min drive) from Blue Baie beach. The owners were very kind and compassionate when I became ill during my stay. One criticism however, is that they should communicate expenses of drinks, meals and additional services more clearly, even if they are inexpensive. Peter, from England ~ 10th Mar 2010

The stay at the Le Bamboo was probably all-in-all the best stay in every aspect, so far. The family is a very nice one, helpful and hardworking. The enthusiasm with which their running the Hostel is incredible! It actually is a perfect Guesthouse, because you fell like a part of the family. We’ll probably go there again. Having read the reviews of Le Bamboo prior to our visit i was expecting the worst but was happy to see that these reviews really didnt do this hotel justice. The friendly nature of the staff was over whelming allowing us to settle in straight away. The room was clean, a good size and the balcony has great views. The walls were thin but caused no problems throughout our stay. The staff were fantastic they made us a great breakfast, suggested the perfect day itinery for us: a trip to Christopher, from England ~ 19th Jun 2009
