The hostel is dirty, the staff is very rude and the internet only works at the reception. Check in can only be done from 16h which makes it very difficult journey for someone who is passing through. They steal money from clients, it does not warn that only accept Swiss francs and there when you try to pay in euros, charge you much more than was agreed in the booking site. only one toilet with one shower room which many girls have to share. If you take a shower for a long time and there's nobody outside of the shower stall, you'll get to shower in the dark. hyejeong, from South Korea ~ 8th Jun 2011

As far as hostels go, this one was about average - the rooms were relatively clean, excepting the stray hairs found in the bed and the floor that looked as though it hadn't been cleaned in awhile. The bathrooms were continually out of toilet paper. The lockers were a nice touch, and the set up of the room was palatable. My biggest complaint about the Lion Lodge was the staff and the customer service. When we arrived for check in, the desk was supposed to be open but was not.
