A very basic and simple, but nice and absolutely clean place to stay. The staff is just great. Friendly very helpful and keen to assist you whatever the case. Probably by far the best value in town. Mrs.Long is the warmest lady I've met at a guesthouse. Her daughter speak English very well since she is a English teacher. they give us lots of help during our stay. The most affecting thing is my mother left her favorate jean in the wardrobe of the room she stayed. Mrs.Long sent it back to us by post office when we came back to China. It's a very good experience we've at Long Guesthouse, the owner(female) is very nice and friendly, she even waiting outside when we arrived, considering it's 1:00AM late night, and she hold our hands to welcome us and introduce her hotel, all she did makes us very relax and free feeling to stay in her hotel. The Long Guesthouse is a great place to stay when visiting Saigon on a budget. It is close to the exciting Pham Ngu Lao drinking/shopping/backpacker district and you can meet other backpackers and exchange ideas. The woman who runs the hostel is genuinely friendly and caring.And she responds to email promptly.She invited me to come back to her hostel to take a shower a few days later at no charge when I was in transit .I ended up not having enough time to take her up on her offer butwill always remember her generosity and smiling face. cynthia, from USA ~ 31st Dec 2011

The Long family were very kind, warm and helpful people. Like what most of the people who stay there say about Long Hostel, I felt it is a home away from home. I'd prefer staying here than fancy hotels because other than the value for your money, you get to meet the awesome Long family and learn a great many tips when visiting and buying stuff in Ho Chi Minh. The long guest house was very comfertable and the location was not bad. Mrs. Long is a very pleasent woman and got us tea and candy right when we arrived and then took out a map and told us all we needed to know about our area. if you are having trouble finding her guest house when you first arrive you can ask the local buisness to use their phone and call her and she will meet you on the main street.
