This was my worst hostel experience ever!! It´s very dirty, old furniture, grubby matresses, bathrooms defect. The house is very old, unsanitary, and not isolated (You can´t sleep well, its loud). This hostel is a real shame! When you want to enjoy your trip in Brugge, avoid this hostel! Ebru, from Germany ~ 26th Aug 2011

Undergoing construction and my booking was changed at last minute so I was forced to share a four bed dormitory with a family (whose teenage daughter hoiked, coughed and spluttered all night long) rather than the single room I booked. Toilet and bathroom awful, shower just pointless, health and safety concerns with construction. Overall very disappointed

Pros: Convenient location near the city center. Very nice pub just nextdoor. Free wifi. Cons: Strange policy of not having (not even talking about consuming!) food and drinks in the rooms. In the middle of a reconstruction - kind of a mess in the hallways (and what really made us angry: a sign asking guests not to complain about it because everybody knows already). Our twin room room was kind of run down - at least for 65 EUR a night (and scheduled for reconstruction on May 2013). Hedvika, from Czech Republic ~ 17th Apr 2012

It was a nice hostel but I came when they were still renovating the place they had only done the top two stories and I was on the first. My room smelled like wet wood and the sink was out of order. the sink was also out of order in the shower room as well. But great location! and the staff spoke English. I would love to see what the place will look like when it's done! oh and super close to the train station! Genevieve, from USA ~ 10th Apr 2012

We just stayed one night there, and we had a very good one. Hostel is quiet, not even 10 min walks from the market place, staff is very friendly, even if we didn't really see them a lot. I will come back timothee, from France ~ 25th Jan 2012

The hostel is located in a great spot in the city and has free wi-fi, but that is where the positives end.The interior was dirty, there was peeling paint, the bathrooms (some of which had no working lock or toilet paper!) and showers were terribly worn, the fire exit on my floor was blocked by construction materials, there was an alarming crack on the underside of the stairs, and the price is very high for the little that you get. Great hostel. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. Good location right in center of Bruges. The building was quite old but that just added to the charming expierence of Bruges and they served belgium beer which made it perfect for friends travelling together. However, i would not reccomend it for couples.I would stay there again. Martin from Denmark Peder Martin Fløe, from Denmark ~ 21st Dec 2011

This is a great no-frills, bare-bones hostel for a great price. Staff is friendly and accommodating, common areas are nice. Rooms are small and a bit dilapidated, but clean and totally sufficient. My room had a sink, which is good because there was a pretty long line for the shower in the morning. My only complaint. Still a great deal for the price in a city full of very expensive hotels. Would stay again. Gary, from USA ~ 14th Dec 2011
