Makuto was the first hostel I have ever stayed at and I fear that now my expectations for the next one will be too high. Makuto was relaxing, cool and full of life. It is located in a beautiful part of Granada and the staff can direct you pretty much anywhere. If you aren't completely sure what activity you are looking for that night, they make fantastic suggestions. The community there is lovely and I made lots of friends while staying a few nights there. i originally only planned to spend two nights in grenada but after the first night at the makuto hostel i extended my stay an additional two nights.the staff are funny and conversational, the dinners were good, and all the directions and suggestions for what to see were clear and accurate.the various public spaces are cool and casual, relaxing and social.before i booked there i read a complaint about the uphill climb and the cobblestone paths, but that seems ridiculous now because the location i damion, from USA ~ 1st Nov 2011

By far the favourite hostel of the trip.The staff are all incredibly friendly, fun and welcoming and will be sure to make you feel at home. The hosetl is also cleaned every day, and although some of the bunks can be a tight squeeze, it was all pretty comfortable.Loved the atmosphere of this place and will definitely stay again, as well as recommend it to anyone! Stunning hostel in Granada - very lively & fun, staff extremely nice & helpful, speak impeccable English wonderful room, colourful & inviting although lacking a bit of intimacy & hot water...:-) But people & character completely make up for it!!!
