Fantastic place and extremely clean. Lee the owner is a great guy. Ther rooms are quiet and simple but spotless. The showers are hot watrer and they provide soap. It is a great area neatr the central market and close to the traijn station. One stop from KL Central. Will definitely be back

Do choose a room without windows this time, because a room with a window will secure a noisy KL experience with the local busmen calling out loudly in front of your room. But furthermore, this is a very clean and friendly place to stay, with all the toast and jam you can eat.

If you want to feel very clean- this is the hostel to visit! The rooms are very white and new and if you have been trekking or anything of the sort you might appreciate the hot shower and cleanliness here! Lacking in personality, this hostel is balanced between amazing position (monorail 2 seconds, by chinatown and central market) and not that much personality. Perfect for max 2 nights before leaving to airport or as first night in KL from a country where you used a bucket bath!

The staff were really helpful, and the rooms - while simple - had everything needed. It was a stone's throw away from Petaling Street and China Town.

Matahari Lodge location is very strategic, the staffs (Lee and Man) are really friendly and helpful. They give LRT Map (which is very helpful for us) and recommend us to take the "hop on hop off" bus (which is very efficient if you want to see KL in 1 day). The rooms are clean and nice, they have their own lounge for watching TV and Internet browsing, a terrace for smoking and a very nice pantry with free tea coffee and toast. Though, the bathroom is not as clean as the other part of Matahari Lo

We really enjoyed our stay here because the room was really clean, the guys who run the place are so helpful and friendly and the location was superb (if you're happy to be in the middle of everything), just around the corner from Chinatown. Value for money and we'd definitely fully recommend it to all fellow backpackers/travelers.

great location, very easy to get to from the airport. the rooms were bare but very clean and the sheets were soft. there was no hot water when we stayed there and the laundry machines were not working, but it is a new lodge so hopefully those will get better. very helpful staff, i would definitely stay there again!
