We are obligated to cancel him!

The building is absolutely amazing for a social time if you are looking for it. Its a converted mansion and it has retained the original features which makes it the most luxurious hostel i have stayed in! My single room was basic but a little too warm for the first few days but the staff kindly agreed to swap the room for me. In addition they were always more than helpful and friendly when dealing with any other requests i had. The hostel was also perfectly located right next the major str

the location is pretty old fashioned, which I really appreciate. Unfortunately some of the devices were too much old fashioned. The lamp in the toilet didn't work and after using the water tap I held the regulator in my hand. The windows weren't allowed to open because they could get jammed and the heating system didn't work too. There was nothing really annoying but there are plenty of little things to improve to make it a really good hostel.

It was a really great, clean place with interesting people. The rules were a little strict, but I was not there that long, so it didn't really affect me. The curfew might have been a problem had I stayed there more than one night.
There is no curfew at our hostel. Quiet hour begins at 10:00 PM as to not be disrespectful of those needing a good nights rest. Hide Owner CommentsRead Owner Comments Sarah, from USA ~ Aug 21 2008

I made a good experience with this hostel. The house (a huge old, old mansion) and property could need some work-up, but it is clean and the bed have real matresses.
The only really negativ thing was that we couldn't open any window and it was pretty sticky in the room, but AC. Lays very convenient to the bus and near a big shopping street (Nicolett Mall area).

Beautiful older building with elegant bathroom fittings, carpets, etc. Big well-equpped kitchen and common room. Two free internet computers. Guests are friendly, quiet, respectful.
Wastebaskets not emptied nor bathrooms cleaned during 5 days I stayed. 2 out of 3 staff seem to know nothing about city and are lazy to boot (too busy watching TV to get toilet paper for bathroom, etc.).
Women's dorm has 1 light hanging from socket, plastic bag on hook for waste...you get the picture.
