After we had paid and checked in we found out that the water was not working because of some water main work being done. The sink was full of unwashed dishes and we could not flush the toilets. We should have been informed of this before paying. Read Owner Comments Strom, from USA ~ 24th Jan 2012

Very disappointed at the lack of a useful phone, had to go to the hostel down the road to ring my family. Also generally disappointed, it felt as though the hostel has changed for the worse since I was there 2 1/2 years ago. The showers were generally useless also. Mark, from England ~ 9th Oct 2011

Although a little run down (kitchens/bathrooms), I enjoyed my time at the Fat Camel.Well located with events organised nightly.Layed back atmosphere made it enjoyable to communicate with others.No brazilian girls though.The front counter staff were always ready to help. antonio, from Australia ~ 11th Aug 2011
