Cool little western style building nestled away down an alley way surrounded by apartment buildings. Staff were very friendly. Single room on the top floor ( top of tower) has large bathroom but no tv. Stephen, from New Zealand ~ 24th May 2012

- busstation is near (5min.), subway is far away (15min) - staff is really friendly, helpful and communicative (all of them speaks realy good english) - value of money is excellent - we would definitely choose that hostel again Nicole, from Germany ~ 23rd Jan 2012

It's a nice & clean hostel with great staff which was very helpful. Only point to remark would be its location. It's a bit far away from major attractions and getting a taxi in Chengdu is not the easiest task. Astrid, from Germany ~ 26th Oct 2011

Vraiment super. Oui les chambres sont MINUSCULES et les murs sont en carton mais l'emplacement est idéal (au centre-ville), les prix vraiment abordables, les lits très confortables. L'endroit est très sécuritaire (grille fermée la nuit) et le personnel de l'accueil est vraiment, mais vraiment sympathiques. Elles parlent très bien anglais et elles nous ont aidé à réserver un hôtel dans une ville voisine, aidé à acheter billets d'avion et de train. The Nova Lodge was absolutely delightful and we were very sorry to have to leave after three days! Having spent many nights in dorms we had booked a basic double at the Nova for a treat and when we arrived we were told we'd been upgraded to the delux double as presumably no-one else was currently booked in. AMAZING! This room was every bit as lovely as its pictures and the hot shower and massive bed were more than we have had at any other hostel in China! We had a mixed experience with this hostel. On the bad side, they double-booked our room so we had to take a different room (with one bed instead of two). In the bathroom, when turning on the fan, an intense sewer smell would enter from the shower drain. The food from the hostel wasn't very good. On the good side, most of the staff were friendly and helpful, the hostel was overall clean and spacious, and there was wifi in the third floor rooms as well as in the lobby. Low-key hostel centrally located in Chengdu.About 20-30 minute walk to nearest subway though so bear this in mind.Had cozy (for some that might feel small though) private room colorfully painted, and tiled floor.Could use a repainting since there are exposed patches of the cement (?) underneath.impresed with the clean crisp white sheets and blanket, bed and pillow firm if that's what you like.Didn't have a desk (though can use bedside table) or closet.but it's a hostel so it's expected.new Vivian, from USA ~ 23rd Jul 2011
