Ocean Inn Rio Botafogo in Haiphong, Braselien

We had booked a double room with bathroom in advance, when we arrived midnight in Rio and to this hostel they told us it was fullbooked and sent us to another hostel that they warmly recommended, said it was the same standard, and hostel New Roof top. It was a small room where only the bed fitted and it had no bathroom. It was extremly dirty and humid. The door would not close so we had to put the bed in front of it. The walls were not attached to eachother, it was several centimeter gap between Annika, from Sweden ~ 30th Mar 2012

I booked this hostel because other people have written that the staff was so helpful and spoke good English - due to my experience that was not correct at all! The staff didn't cared at all, when you asked something it felt like you disturbed them. They cleaned the room everyday – that was great – however the kitchen was really doughy and even the common room. I stayed upstairs, apparently it was so much better than the room downstairs.
