Patong Backpacker Hostel in Veliko Tarnovo, Thailand

great location...decent rooms and beds, no security except lockable door for 10 bed dorm...small lockers...not the friendliest or easiest staff to deal with...told me 5 baht minute for cell phone use, the call time was 2:12 and see tried to say it was 4 minutes because I had the phone in my hand and was very nasty about returning my 5 baht change...also dont believe the online reservation system was sold 3 bed dorm cause internet said was only bed available but there were more than a dozen other Matthew, from USA ~ 23rd Dec 2011

This is an hostel which will take you by surprise by everything it has to offer - Security,Location,Cleanliness,Free WIFI :)....it has everything..This is highly recommandable.We were a group of 5 guys on a week long trip across Thailand with Bangkok as last stop.The dorm room was very clean,huge spacious with clean toilets and good showers with hot water.This one has everything.The breakfast menu is quite good.Beer is cheap (same as it will cost in a 7/11) and location is convinient with a BTS Harshad, from India ~ 19th Nov 2011

THE GOOD: Across the street from the beach, nice views, only 150m to Bangla Road (party central), but far enough away that it's pretty quiet. Nice baths on 2nd floor. THE BAD: 3rd floor baths not so nice, buckets and dirty towels blocked access to the sinks. They charge for internet access (including wi-fi), but I complained and they gave me a free password. Air con in 3rd floor dorm (room C2) only ran on high speed, so it was freezing after 15 minutes. Russ, from USA ~ 11th Oct 2011

Patong Backpacker Hostel is a great place to stay in when on a budget which close to everything such as the beach and nightlife but also gives you 5 stars treatment. It is the cleanest hostel I ahve ever stayed out and has even put to shame some of the overpriced hotels I stayed at during my SE Asia trip. The staff is amazing and will help you with absolutely everything from day tours (at fantastic discounted prices) to hostel at your next destination ! I would definitely go again !
