The rooms are newly renovated, they are modern and comfortable. Breakfast is good. They have bikes you can use for free. Just a 15 min walk from town centre,it\'s next to the river and the botanic gardens. Highly recommended! Carolina, from Spain ~ 1st Nov 2009

Excellent and tidy,My friend and me enjoyed the double room.Bus 20 is more convenient than tram 9 and there is a timetable of Bus 20 in the hostle. The price is rationable,so far it`s the best hostle I`ve experienced. Xiaojie, from China ~ 8th Jun 2009

I would return here in a heartbeat. The place is clean, everyone was very helpful and friendly. I had a room on the fifth floor and it was quiet. Breakfast was good, but I would suggest a toaster. That was the only thing that was missing. This place is within easy walking distance to the old part of the city and the walk is beautiful. Loved Bern, loved Pension Marthahaus. A simple, calm hotel in a quite neighborhood. Its a bit of a walk to any activities, but not inconvenient. The staff was really nice, the breakfast was good, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Sean, from USA ~ 2nd Jan 2009
