I had an excellent experience at the Perminalen Hotel. The price was reasonable, the staff person Julia was extraordinarily helpful and the location was excellent. The breakfast was delicious and filling. I would highly recommend the Perminalen. George, from USA ~ 16th Nov 2009

This hostel was very clean. I was there in October and I only had one roommate. THe breakfast was very filling and included which was really nice given that Norway is so expensive. I would definately stay here again. Sara, from USA ~ 17th Oct 2009

This is the cleanest, most efficient hostel I have ever stayed in. The rooms keep it small at four bunk beds, and the room also has it's own toilet/shower. A nice breakfast is included and there's WiFi in the common room. The only downside is the price, but everything is expensive in Norway. - Backpacking Dave David, from USA ~ 25th Jul 2009

I booked a bed for only one night in a 4 bed male dorm room. When I went to check in the man at the desk informed me that during the summer they overbook all of their dorm rooms and put 5 people in them- the 5th person sleeping on a fold up cot. Of course I happened to be that 5th person... This was alright for me and my one night stay, but I would be very upset if I were staying longer because even though there are 5 beds in the room, there are not 5 places to keep your clothes... Cleanest, nicest (and of course most expensive) hostel in which I have stayed. Location is great, beds were very very comfortable with (nice) linen included. Free breakfast had meats, cheeses, breads, juice, you name it. En-suite bath was cleaned every day and was very large in size. Oslo is ridiculously expensive so keeping that in mind the Hotel Perminalen is a very good value for what you pay. Ian, from USA ~ 10th Jul 2009
