The Quetzalroo staff is exstremely hospitable. I truely enjoyed my stay with them in Guatemala City. The hostel is a welcomed refuge from the crazy hectic streets outside. The staff was even gracious enough to help me with my travel route through Guatemala, providing me with many helpful tips and suggestions for places to stay and see. I would recomend Quezalroo to anyone who will be spending time in Guatemala City. Jennifer, from USA ~ 28th May 2012

One of the best Hostels I've stayed in so far! The atmosphere is great in this family owned business. They took great care of us from the moment we stepped out of the airport, showing us the best parts of Guatemala city and introducing us to the country's history. Marcos took time to sit down with us and draw a map of Guatemala with recommendations of places to visit (which were all awesome!). The hostel was very clean, quiet and serves a delicious breakfast. I strongly recommend it! olivia, from Switzerland ~ 27th Mar 2012

Excellent place to stay in guatemala city..very safe..the owners are very friendly, and speaks english and spanish very well..good price for a private single room..they can pick you up from airport or drop off to bus station free..they also give us a free city tour for 2 hours..but unfortunately,in guate, there is not much things to see and to do.. They'll pick you up at the airport or whatever bus station you're at and drop you off at whatever transportation hub you need to get to the next day...it's a huge money saver! Kate, from USA ~ 17th Jul 2011

here is a minute talk with Manuel, the owner : 'Ok guys, we've gotta talk. You're going to Antigua next, right? We'll drive you to the bus station, and call ahead for your hostel. Have any idea what ti do in Guate?' That was when he started drawing of a map of the whole country, with tips aboutwhat to see that is not in the travel books :) as Guate city is most travellers 1st stop in the country, it is really great to be taken in charged like that.
