Cannot give this hostel any recommodation. Hopefully another big hostel will be built in El Chalten so that this one has to change their ways: Have to pay for breakfast. Little to no security(our room had 2 lockers working and we were lucky). Windows in the room cannot be opened so the room smelt bad and the matresses where damp. Ok hostel, but what a rip-off. $60 for a dorm, $13 extra for breakfast (toast), which every other hostel provides free, $12 an hour for internet. They wont do wake-up calls, they have a restaurant but the food´s so expensive, we´re backpackers!! There´s no TV, no locks on the dorm doors, and no lockers for your stuff. There was one lovely girl on reception, but another guy who wouldn´t even make a call to Calafate for us when I realised I´d left my MP3 player in the last hostel. Luckily enough there was a double room with ensuite bathroom available when we got there, because the one we booked through Hostel.com was a regular monk's cell with bunkbeds and just enough space to turn around if one wasnt't too chubby. Staff was friendly, lot of trekkers and hikers eating in the in-site restaurant, room and bathroom were spacious enough but a tad cold which, after a day of trekking in strong winds ain't something one looks forward too.
