Very Nice Place in San Juan, away from the old historic center but in the middle of everything. Francisco was very kind, Gustavo, from USA ~ 29th May 2012

This hostel was nice and home like in style. The manager was very kind and helpful with getting around the city or getting lost trying to find your way back. The location is a few blocks away from public transit and in a colorful neighborhood. The place was relatively clean and manager was accesible 24 hours a day.I would recommend staying there if on a budget in PR. If you are looking for a place that when you go to sleep you can hear the coqui singing you to sleep. this is the place for you. it's very dated but so is most of San Juan and Francisco feels more like and uncle that a proprieter. Very chill, no tv, but 2 netbooks are available for those who need technology. Shakira, from USA ~ 22nd Mar 2012

Not that great, yet as expensive as a Manhattan hostel Zachary, from USA ~ 6th Mar 2012

The owner of the hostel, Francisco, is a fantastic host. He is personally around much of the time, constantly working on ways to improve the hostel. Though the location is not that close to the city center, it is still walking distance from the beach, and Francisco is more than happy to help you figure out transportation (he even gave us a ride one time). Though accommodations are a a bit cramped, it is not uncomfortable, and overall, everything else about the hostel makes up for lack of space. Zachary, from USA ~ 7th Mar 2012

THe neighborhood is not adequately described in the description of this hostel. It's a pretty dirty, ghetto and generally unsafe feeling part of town. The rooms and bunks are so small you can hardly even open your backpack to get anything out of it.The floor was dirty and so were the couches in the common area. The bathrooms were okay. It was definitely overpriced/ you can find much better quality hostels for less than $50 around better parts of the city. Jason, from USA ~ 12th Feb 2012

San Juan has very little hostel options and this one is great. Staff are very friendly! The location is a bit odd, but definitely better than staying in Old San Juan, which is overrun with tourists and is a very sanitized touristy version of San Juan. Brandon, from USA ~ 24th Aug 2011
