Smyle Inn in New Delhi, India

This is a budget hostel but it was clean and the staff were very helpful!It's close to the station so it's a great jumping point to other places.Internet is free and breakfast is good!On our way home they even let us keep our stuff there for a day without charge and were helpful in arranging a taxi to airport at same price as prepaid taxi if not better.I really enjoyed talking to the staff and will look forward to staying here the next time I'm in Delhi which will be soon! Unexpectedly good experience for the money! The hotel is quite clean, the stuff - friendly. They don't have wireless, but have like a small own internet cafe with 6 computers and free access. AC was surprisingly quiet and actually chilled well the room. They can provide you taxi back to airport fro same rate as usual pre-paid taxi any time, which is cheap and very convenient. An excellent hostel for an excellent price, the people here were very friendly especially Mr Allam who takes care of the hostel and is also at the reception with a smiling face waiting to welcome the customer at grace. Breakfast was great and the rooms also were very nice. Other facilities like the travel desk and internet were very good. This is a perfect place for people to come and stay while in Delhi. The streets are a problem as the street roads are damaged but it is said to be solved by th Abubakar, from India ~ 4th Aug 2009

They just gave my confirmed room to someone else and said we arrived too late! Bastards!

Bastards!!! I think you should choose descretion with the choice of worlds that you choose especially on public sites. Isn't there a moderator who monitors obsene language. Despite our warnings, you got scammed at the airport. Had you taken our advice, you would not have fallen for the scam. We lost on 1 night rent, which as a goodwill gesture, are not putting on your credit card. PLEASE REFRAIN FROM USING FOUL LANGUAGE AS IT REFLECTS POORLY ON YOUR FAMILY BACKGROUND AND EDUCATION.

The only good thing about this place is the airport pickup and the breakfast. It's cheap but you really get what you pay for. The tourdesk offers you lot's of stuff but I would recomend you do stuff on your own. Don't tell them though since this really gets them cheesed off. Situated very close to the New Delhi train station, which was very useful for travel. We had an ensuite room with a roof fan, which was perfect. Free internet was a nice, and cold bottles Kingfisher beer was a bonus :) Manager and staff were very friendly, and I would certainly recommend Smyle Inn. Tip: When looking for it, if coming from Train station, turn right when you see a telegraph pole (on RHS) with a "Yes Boss Hotel" sign on it. Mark, from Ireland ~ 9th Mar 2009
