Excellent 'home from home' vibe with lots of tips, trips and staff in the know. Only minor quibble is that the location is a little out of the way, but this just makes it quiet and not really a problem. Andre, from England ~ 31st Oct 2009

Cosy environment in a quiet, safe & guarded neighborhood (3 mins motorbike ride into the city centre), located northwest of the old city. You can rent an auto moped for 200Baht/day. The dorm was spacious, bright & clean. Common area has lots of info & Adam the American staff gave useful info. Mr Noom the owner gave me a free ride into town on a rainy day. Should talk to him to maximize your visit to Chiang Mai. Will come back 1 day. Recommended. Matt, from Malaysia ~ 8th Aug 2009

What this hostel lacks in facilities it makes up for in character and personality!! It was not the cleanest hostel I ever stayed in (kitchen / bathroom) but it is probably one of the most laid back and relaxed hostel atmospheres you can find. The staff were extremely helpful when I found myself stranded without a train ticket. They arranged for a bus and even had the ticket delivered. On the down side, it is a little ways from the central action in Chiang Mai but still only a short tuk-tuk ri Christa, from Canada ~ 26th Feb 2009
