It is a hostel for people who want to party and don't care about sleeping. It is located in centre of the city, which is a good thing, but right above a pub, so no sleep until 1.30-2 am. Most people there actually just want to party. So you won't be able to sleep at all. The toilets and showers are all together, both for men and women and are not really great. The staff was nice though. The beakfast is included, but it is very miserable and in a room displaying quite sexist writings about boobs. Giulia, from Italy ~ 6th Oct 2011

Hostel located above a bar, which can be either an advantage or a disturbance for your night's rest. Location is very good, everything is at a walking distance. Bathroom facilities not clean at all. The security was so good here that even the guests couldn't get in to the rooms.One of the toilets was broken which can be frustrating, and the bathrooms were a bit dirty.The common area was great for meeting people.The wifi was good.Kind of ridiculous that they charge you 1.5GBP to store your bag, but every weeknight they offer a low-priced meal in their restaurant. Central located. The room is not very clean. There are stains on my quilt cover that look like dry blood. Mesh lockers are in the room. Beds are not numbered, so you don't really know which bed is available. We're charged for storing Luggage before check-in! Wei, from Australia ~ 18th Jul 2011

I don't mind sharing, but the bathroom was 2 floors down and unisex, which is not indicted on the website. The room was hot and stuffy and dingy. I've stayed at other St Christopher's locations and this one was disappointing. Whether it was just bad timing or not, the computer and internet weren't working and the "chill room" wasn't quite to the standard i'd expected with st. christophers. travelled for 7 weeks and this was one of my least favourite hostels unfortunately. Generally an acceptable stay for a hostel with the usual 'character' of disturbed nights sleep etc.The only slight disappointment was the bathrooms.One of the shower cubicles had a broken lock which when one of only 3 was an inconvience, also the same shower appeared to have a blocked drain so there was a large amount of standing water making keeping clothes dry very difficult especially when trying to dress.
