My initial stay was fine. The dorm was a bit crowded but the other people in the dorm very quite respectful. I have chosen to come back again and stay in a private room for a few nights even though I know I can stay in a nice room in a hotel for not all that much more a night. This is a friendly and cheerful place, especially when the weather is good. (With the rain you cannot sit out on the little balcony.)

Basically, the location sells the place..I think the place is better for Europeans, especially French as the owner speaks French better than she speaks English.. For an American, this is a slightly odd situation and its easy to feel isolated from everyone else... if ur goal is to go to Hongdae and stumble home, this is ur place...if not, I highly recommend looking elsewhere

I wish there had been fitted sheets for the bed. Also, one night the AC was off and the windows were closed and this made it hot and stuffy. The next night the windows were open and the AC was on! This is not good for the environment. Maybe some signs could help the hostelers figure out how to be comfortable.

The provided map is very clear, but it's only a two minute walk if you walk like Carl Lewis. Anyhow, when I arrived I was very ill and feeling weak; the lady owner recognized this and upgraded me to a room with two beds so I might sleep more soundly (I had been in a six bed dorm). I left the hostel feeling much better. For this act of kindness and generosity I will recommend this place to my friends visiting Seoul.
