the staff was pretty kind, some friendly enough to approach me in town and hang out :) one thing to note there is that the hostel is a definite 10 minute walk from "old town", but it's along the river which is nice in the daytime. the most important thing to remember is that everything must be paid for in cash. the breakfast is 3.90 euros, and decent enough, and they play the Sound of Music every other day almost, which was fun :) i liked that it had less of a party atmosphere and more of a f Julia, from USA ~ 26th Aug 2009

Fairly stark but large room (we had a two-person private) and nice, clean in-room bathroom. Staff was professional and spoke great English. Didn't think the breakfast was worth 4Euro, but when we went out looking for our own discovered that nothing in Salzburg is open early...
