A really great hostel (hotel). Centrally located in York. Great and solid beds, nice room-standard, and a BIG plus for free coffee, tea, internet and towels. The English breakfast is higly recommended. the onsly downside was that we only got two keys for seven persons. All guests should have their own key. Lars Eirik, from Norway ~ 28th Mar 2012

I know most of the reviews mention it, but it really is VERY noisy. We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night and didn't get much sleep. If you're coming to York to party then it won't be a problem, but if you want to get some sleep then probably don't stay here... Otherwise it was a clean, comfortable hostel in a great location. Complimentary earplugs = genius. There's 20% off food at the restaurant downstairs, which is really quite good. The apartment style dorm room is by far the coolest hostel room I've ever seen/experienced, 100% recommend. Great hostel with funky artwork. Clean and new - the only problem we had was that thewifi wasn't working while we were there. 3 minute walk to Yorkminster and your just steps away from great shopping, dining, drinking, and music. Bad point: the staff were more interested in running the restaurant downstairs than they were in helping their hostel guests... Got frustrating at times... Rachael, from USA ~ 30th Jul 2011
