Had A wonderful time at this Hostel. This was my first time staying at a Hostel and i highly reccomend this one! the staff was very quick to help us when we arrived and although we stayed in a 12 bed room we met some great people and enjoyed the stay. After the Pub downstairs closed to the public, free pool, Music, and Wii was available which made the night very fun. Hmmm was lead to believe that The steam engine was a real happening place, however it was more of a local for a few old men around Lambeth!!Location was spot on though!!Rooms were v ery very small, you would not want to be in any way claustrophobic!Rooms were a bit smelly too....some other hostels were the same price and would be a lot better quality!I would not stay here again" Laoise, from Ireland ~ 28th Feb 2010

Located above a bar (with cheap drinks) where many locals go so not the quietest place. Fun environment though and people staying at the hostel get good discounts on drinks. Overall the staff was pretty good, both of the men who work at night are helpful and give advice on where to go/how to get there. Located one block from the metro and on one of the main lines so easy to get everywhere. Its located over a bar so if you want real sleep you might want to look elsewhere. It's near the metro, a few food places, a connivence store, the music is good, the drinks are great, you get discounts and a chance to meet nice people. I'd go back. Jamar, from USA ~ 1st Feb 2010

Good location, just by underground. Nice pub, with snooker table and Wii. The staff are friendly although we had a little confusion over the rates and we didn't get exactly the accommodation we'd booked. The dorm is small but very clean, there are only 2 toilets and 3 showers for over 20 people but they were reasonably clean. Overpriced but not too bad. Ciara, from Belgium ~ 23rd Nov 2009
