For the price, Tropic Inn is really wonderful for a business traveller like me. Mt Lavinia is quiet and tucked away from the craze of Colombo and at the same time, not too far from everything. Good food can be found in restaurants all around Tropic Inn. Taxi is readily available with just 1 phone call away because the taxi HQ is just 10 minutes away. Value for money! the tropic inn was very clean, quiet with a helpfull friendly staff and good free breakfast. Its better suited for 2 people traveling together though as all rooms are billed as double occupancy. anyway its a nice place to stopover on your way south from columbo airport, and the beach is 5 min away. david, from USA ~ 3rd May 2009
