While the people here were great the overall place was dirty and bedding stained and there was an awful smell in the rooms, was to stay 2 weeks but left after 1 only stayed that long cause we paid up front Patrick, from Ireland ~ 20th Oct 2009

underground is a great place loved it been back twice and had an awesome time met some awesome people and will recommend it to anyone its so clean and friendly staff got all you need there and two minute walk to all the pubs too! defintely worth the stay. jodie, from British Virgin Islands ~ 3rd Jun 2009

We stayed over xmas and we got a very bad gastric bug that was going around the hostel (Our room was by the toilet and could hear throwing up all night!). Ruined our xmas and New Year. They didn't warn us a about it and I didn't see any extra cleaning going on to try and prevent it. Kitchen lacked proper utensils and hobs were dangerous. Lisa, from England ~ 4th Jan 2009

Small rooms, poor air conditioning, short beds with really lumpy matresses. Really noisy place. Only good for people drinking into the early hours and not for those wanting some sleep. John, from England ~ 2nd Dec 2008
