It was great experience. It is a place you would like to extend your stay again and again. Feel like at home, and safe environment. It is really good for a person who are holding working hoilday visa since you may need a place to start with. The staff explain how you get your working ID (SIN), how to look for a long term place, how to get a good company for your cellphone plan. They also offer month plan. close to skytrain, and dowtown. The shopping mall about 7 min.walking is huge with a lot of restaurants around. The room is clean in the house. The good things is Everyone knows everyone in the house, and we grouped out together at the night I stayed there. It was fun to met those super friendly roommates and staff. Yes this place had free parking but it was a dump! The ceiling was molding in the bathroom, the linens smelled dirty, I was repulsed the entire time I was there and couldn't wait to leave! Basically the people just bought a run-down house and tossed a few mattresses in it and called it good. Terrible I would never stay here again!

In the conversation upon your arrival, you were here looking for a high-end apartment in Vancouver for your future study. We sincerely regret your experience at our backpacker house was not comparable to the apartment you expected. We try our best to provide travelers a best rate, and clean place to stay. It's not in downtown Vancouver but the Sky Train is about 5 minutes away which will take you there in like 15 minutes. There's a huge mall also about 5 minutes away where you can get pretty much everything. The staff is very friendly and very helpful in providing tips. This particular location (McKay) is more of an apartment you share with others than a hostel, creating a cozier atmosphere. I initially booked for a week but I'm prolonging my stay.
