Walk On The Beach Hostel in Hermeskeil, Braselien

The hostel staff were excellent and very friendly but the rooms needed AC and did not have it and the mattresses were like gym mats. The hostel organized a trip to a Lapa street party which was fun until our camera was stollen. This was not the hostels fault but put a damper on things. And someone stole one of out sleeping bags and pair of sunglasses from the dorm room! The lockers were too small to put a backpack in so be careful with everything you have here!

Dear , Thank you for the review. Although it is a given, It is unfortunate that hostels are not entitled to choose their guests as much as guests are entitled to choose their hostels. A few notes on your review: 1) We did not organise tours to Lapa. We SUGGESTED Lapa as the main place to go party on Friday night, wrote on the info board how to get there and back and, most importantly, we wrote: “DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAMERA”. So, honestly… 2) We strictly recommend our guests to keep all their valuables in their lockers and your luggage locked as well. Our hostel is very secure, with cameras inside and outside and there have never been any complaints. So, if you are missing objects, given you took all necessary precautions, we suggest you check the previous place where you stayed or look through your bags. 3) You could have booked a room with air con but you CHOSE a dorm without it. So, again, honestly… We hope you had a good stay in Rio afterwards.
