Wombats City Hostel Vienna - The Lounge in Jabiru, Osterreich

Thanks for the great hospitality at the Wombat's! Great atmosphere, clean & well-equipped rooms, friendly staff, nice bar and lounge. Kitchen could have more equipment. Nice breakfast buffett for just 3,70 Euros. Though security standards seem to be high, on the day of our departure 10 rooms were broken into, 3 of them lost money. the hostel is perfectly situated a 2 min walk from westbanoff underground station.this makes it easy to localise from the airport or from the bus station.A very secure establishment with very helpful and friendly staff.the hostel has a lot to offer travellers, with loads of info and helpful advice(stuff to do) for the city and surrounding countries. gavin, from Scotland ~ 24th Jan 2010

Love this place!! Highly recommended!! We've been travelling for the past 6 mth, and this is the first hostel that has a well equipped kitchen, with free pasta and spices. Tan, from Singapore ~ 18th Dec 2009

We were there with a larger group in 2 private bed rooms and the stay was just perfect. The hostel is clean, and contemporaryly furnished, bar in the cellar is extra fun and the breakfast was really good for 3,70 eu. Location is right next to the train station, which is handy, but kind of far from most of the sights. Although the subway takes care of that issue. Make sure you really understand how to use the lockers before you leave the reception desk, b/c they can be tricky to figure out :) Overall, clean, efficient, decent place to stay.
