stank of cat piss, no heating let alone the log fire suggested in ad. initially given outside shed to wet to keep a lawnmower in when i complained of damp and cold was told it had been raining not surprising as it was winter. slept fully clothed .. staff are possibly deranged to live in such a shithole. nice views.

The owners were so accommodating. Very helpful and willing to go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The location is quite good if you're not interested in staying downtown. Quite easy (and cheap) to access bus transportation into the city. My only real problem with the place was the bedding had a very damp feel to it and the whole place smelled slightly of damp/mildew-ish. But for a night or two it was very reasonably priced, and the owners were very helpful! As a female traveli

Great views and met some great people however the location did mean incurred costs into the town but the bonus was tranqel setting and a 5 minute walk to mount eden, made famous by the U2 album the tree used on the front cover and although the weather restricted the views they were still spectacular, also price was good at around 19 New Zealand dollars a bight for a 4bed shared dorm.
