i like uno house and i extended my stay from 12nights to 20nights. the environement is quite good, because i chose a bed near the window maybe, and my roommates were good. there is no hot water, so the water is too cold to take a bath, and lights should be off after 12. i make friends with some travellers there, and the travellers stayed at uno house are nice. there are some bugs, but not because of cleanlessness. and most of the staff is helpful.

I'm afraid to say this hostel made such an ordinary first impression on me that I cancelled my reservation and forfeited my deposit. The staff didn’t seem to have my booking; the place was cluttered; there were signs everywhere about rules rules and more rules (one being that there was a lock-out between 11 and 4 - I arrived at 3 and therefore got kicked out once I checked in); and the staff were not very friendly - who's to blame a tired, emotional lone female traveller for running a mile??

I got a lot of bug bites...and the lock out are annoying. but it is a ok place for the money you pay. But mostly as a last option place.

A little beaten down, but not that far from the track. Nearby a couple of sites.

I was traveling with my Mom and we had so much fun. It is a traditional Japanese style house with traditional style rules. There is a lock out between 11am to 4pm for cleaning and general maintenance, but there is plenty to do during that time. They are not responsible for anything that gets stolen and they even say that. There house is not secured so if there is anything of value take it with you. The people are really nice there if you treat them with respect remember they are Japanese not American. The Japanese culture is you need to take care of your own things. There is also a lights out but that doesn\'t mean you have to be back at the that time. They have another entrance for you to use if you do come in at a later time. I guess you have to live here in Japan to understand it. If anyone would like to stay in the Uno house find someone that knows what they are doing, not the ones that come from overseas and are expecting there own culture.
