A pleasant place to stay with a good atmosphere. Be aware that when you book a tour through the hostel to Hua Shan, it takes 5 hours (rather than 2 hours by public transport) to get there as the Chinese tour company stops at different places along the route, including a herbal medicine centre.

The food was nice and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The courtyard was a nice place to chill out in and have a nice cold beer.
Although this seems like the perfect place to stay in XI'an at first glance, once I had more experience with the staff I began to get a bad taste in my mouth from the hostel. Only one staff member seemed like a genuinely helpful person while the rest of the staff seemed bothered by anyone that asked even a simple question. The hostel itself was near nothing expect a nice park and the staff didn't seem very interested in helping us get around.

Absolutely brilliant place. Would highly recommend. About 10min walk from the train station and in a good part of town away from all the noise. Staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to help you. The room we had was super clean and we couldn't fault it. Onsite bar / food and fun was great and the little live in beagle dog topped it off. This is a very underrated hostel and I would most definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone.

Fun place to meet people, very clean, although it seems to have become a chic place for middle-aged Chinese to stay as well, in addition to your average scruffy backpacker.
