A decent place to stay but some of the staff were a bit surly. The hostel is fairly central - 10 minutes walk max from La Rambla, but at night we felt that the area turned a bit seedy, so women on their own should maybe exercise a bit of caution.

Awesome hostel! I would definitely recommend it for a fun stay in Barcelona. Decent sized rooms and clean bathrooms, fun bar and common area to hang out in. For the most part, staff was helpful and nice.

Very good location : 10 minutes walk from las Ramblas & 50 meters from a metro station. Surrounded by groceries, restaurants and cheap bars. Gets very noisy @ night, the rooms needs air-conditioning [too hot :)], breakfast is rather poor for spanish standards. It's basically for youngsters, so if you are thirty-something, this is not your place.

Epic, no wait, beyond epic! The aussie bartenders are kind of lame though. That's a lie. The whole staff is awesome and I consider them all friends. Great hostel!
